UX Designer

We’re excited to be offering this opportunity for a talented UI/UX Designer to join our rapidly expanding team, working at the forefront of technology at our custom built site at Think Park.

 

We’re looking for someone who isn’t afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck-in; someone who learns quickly; loves a challenge; who loves a job that’s never the same one day to the next. As a UI/UX Designer, you’ll be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities. You’ll be surrounded by some amazing people and working in one of the best cultures that you can find.

 

You’ll need to prove you have the relevant experience and demonstrate your confidence, professionalism, enthusiasm, self-motivation, communication skills and your attention to detail in tasks undertaken.

What we are looking for;

  • Someone who has worked closely and collaboratively with cross functional agile product teams (product, development, testing, commercial, compliance etc.) to ensure the final delivered product is loved by our customer.
  • Has the ability to sketch out solutions to complex problems, storyboard user journeys, producing ideas and concepts, produce high fidelity wireframes and prototype and/or test visual designs, depending on the situation.
  • Can carry out walkthroughs of final designs to the product teams and carry out regular design reviews with them to make sure the final product is pixel perfect and to the highest quality.
  • Experience in working closely with the Senior Designer and will have regular design reviews and meetings to come up with creative solutions for different products.
  • Experience in translating wireframes and prototypes into visual & interaction designs.
  • Own creative/design and through this create new and innovative features that solve for business and customer needs.

What we need;

  • Experienced in using Sketch (3+ years of experience).
  • Experience with using the Adobe CC Suite (Especially Photoshop and Illustrator).
  • Understanding and experience of working with pattern/component libraries contributing to a consistent design language.
  • Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach.
  • Diligent in ensuring that you work is complete ahead of walkthroughs with product teams.
  • Excellent knowledge and experience in responsive web design (including research, wireframing and prototyping).

Client Monies Controller

Here at The Financial Wellness Group we are currently looking for a Client Monies Controller to join our Finance Team! This is an expected 12-15-month maternity cover.

As a Client Monies Controller you are required to manage the client monies team, ensuring that client money is accounted for and treated in line with regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities;

  • Responsibility for ensuring the business is fully compliant with FCA CASS regulations and other relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Oversight of all client money account reconciliations, ensuring they are completed daily with exceptions investigated and resolved.
  • SME support for reconciliations – liaising with reconciliation software provider and IT support to resolve issues.
  • Ensure the timely allocation of Client Monies.
  • Provide technical support to the Client Money Team, Insolvency Practitioners and other Operational business areas.
  • Ensure fee income is drawn in line with regulatory requirements and accounted for correctly.
  • Liaise with Operational stakeholders in relation to the operation of client money to facilitate better decision making and drive revenue.
  • Act as client money SME in all business projects.
  • Assess operational procedures and drive forward process improvements to deliver efficiencies and ensure client money activities operate within a robust control environment.
  • Ensure all procedures are appropriately controlled, monitored and documented.
  • Production of CASS MI.
  • Engage with internal and external auditors in relation to the control of client money.
  • Staff management: 1:1s and appraisals, along with any other staff related issues as they arise. Conduct regular staff competency checks. Oversee training and development.

 

Ideally, you will have an understand CASS and Client Money Regulations. The Ability to put in place CASS compliant processes.

Test Engineer

As a Test Engineer, you’ll be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities. You’ll be surrounded by some amazing people and working in one of the best cultures that you can find.

 

You’ll need to prove you have the relevant experience and demonstrate your confidence, professionalism, enthusiasm, self-motivation, communication skills and your attention to detail in tasks undertaken.

 

Role and Responsibilities;

  • Review and input to user stories to ensure all aspects are considered
  • Work closely with team members throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Complete all appropriate end to end testing (System, Integration, Regression and Exploratory)
  • Analyse, design, develop and realise automation tests where appropriate
  • Detect, monitor and report of defects and inconsistencies

 

Essential Criteria;

  • Testing experience within a high paced entrepreneurial business
  • Used to working closely with all members of the team, from Product and UX to Developers
  • Experience of manual and automated testing of web or mobile apps, including related backend services and databases.
  • Used to analysing, building and maintaining automation frameworks through the creation of clean quality code in line with coding standards to create highly maintainable tests
  • Competence with SQL Server or equivalent database applications, including creating SQL queries

Product Owner

As a Product owner, you’ll be tasked with a wide range of responsibilities. You’ll be surrounded by some amazing people and working in one of the best cultures that you can find.

 

You’ll need to prove you have the relevant Product Owner experience and demonstrate your confidence, professionalism, enthusiasm, self-motivation, communication skills and your attention to detail in tasks undertaken.The Product Owner will be responsible for, but not limited to:

 

Role and Responsibilities;

  • Working closely and collaboratively with cross functional agile product teams (ux/ui, development, testing, marketing commercial, compliance etc.) to ensure the final delivered product is loved by our customers
  • Shape and maintain the product backlog including prioritisation based on (effort/business benefit/customer benefit)
  • Leading the product delivery including release planning and expectation management
  • Analysing the needs of the customer/business and creating user stories & acceptance criteria

 

Essential Criteria

  • Experienced in a similar agile digital role (3+ years of experience)
  • Experience of creating user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Comfortable with driving the experience alongside the UX team
  • Designing solutions that meet the different parts of the business, that are often conflicting, all in the view of customer
  • Understanding and experience of working closely with senior stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail and methodical approach

Full Stack Developer

Here at The Financial Wellness Group we are on the lookout for Full Stack Developers to join our expanding Tech squad!

Our Full Stack Developer roles are part of a growing team building the next generation of digital debt management tools. These tools will allow us to create more ‘digital first’, multi-platform services to give our customers more control over their debt management plans. The Full Stack Developer will be joining a department which has a philosophy of continuous improvement, and a strong focus on engineering excellence.

We are looking for Developers who hold a strong passion for software development, can pick things up quickly and can work with progressive changes to our technology stack and methodologies.

Responsibilities of a Full Stack Developer;

  • Significant commercial experience using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with libraries such as Angular and React for producing well-designed websites and/or applications.
  • Significant commercial experience developing services and APIs with C#, ASP.NET and SQL with techniques such as domain-driven design and MVC.
  • Practices Test Driven Development and is comfortable with various test frameworks and concepts.
  • Experience with a Source Control solution like Git and VSTS/TFS.
  • Understanding of Agile software development methodologies.
  • Comfortable with debugging and profiling tools to track and solve issues in software.
  • Experience deploying to a cloud computing platform like AWS and Microsoft Azure.

Devops Engineer

As a leader in the debt advice and management space we’re now entering a transformational stage to build the next generation of digital debt management tools. These tools will allow us to create more ‘digital first’, multi-platform services to give our customers more control over their finances and debt management plans.

We’re just starting out on our transformational journey; moving to an API first, cloud-based platform, this is an exciting and challenging time for us and we’re looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer to help pave the way into the cloud!

Responsibilities for the Devops Engineer;

  • Be passionate about technology, always striving to make things better than they are for both yourself and teammates.
  • Every day is different, we use a wide range of technologies both new and old. You need to be able to learn quickly and be happy to pick up new tools as we improve our platforms.
  • Support the DevOps Lead in establishing DevOps culture across the technology teams. This will involve knowledge sharing, always ready to get stuck in helping other team members.
  • Become a key part of the current AWS datacentre migration, enabling the business to get away from the shackles of the current datacentre.
  • Be able to design scalable and robust infrastructure with security at the forefront.

Essentials for the Devops Engineer

  • Deep understanding of a Cloud infrastructure platform i.e. AWS, GCP.
  • Strong knowledge Infrastructure as code in particular Terraform; Or tools such as AWS Cloud Formation
  • Experience with monitoring and logging tools and platforms.
  • Some form of scripting experience i.e.: Bash, Python or similar.
  • Understanding of APIs
  • Knowledge of networking, in particular web traffic, things such as DNS, HTTPS some understanding of the OCI model would be advantageous.
  • Configuration Management Ansible, Puppet etc
  • Experience with building and maintaining CI/CD platforms i.e. Azure Devops, Jenkins, Gitlab, Google CloudBuild.
